DocBook instead of Wiki

We now have an internal drupal docbook running instead of the Wiki. This saves the users logging in twice. Please note that you too can contribute to the Documentation.

I've just put across the pages (content is yet to be filled back from the wiki). For now, you can visit and add pages here.

Kannada on Ubuntu Breezy Badger - Update

There had been few discussions about the SCIM Issue and the rendering issues in Breezy with Kannada.

Here's another update apart from what has been discussed in the above links. The package "free-fonts" on Breezy causes some weirdo problems with Kannada rendering. The characters get garbled on gedit and almost all GNOME based applications.

Make sure you have uninstalled this particular package to get rid of that problem.

Hope this helps Ubuntu breezy users.

Wiki is down

yep, most of you might've been wondering what happened to the kannada l10n wiki. Its been down for a while now. The whole thing got messed up while I was trying to update to mediawiki 1.5. Please bear with us until we correct it. If you are interested in volunteering to help get it back on, you're welcome to do so.
