Kannada on Solaris 10
Namaste.
Solaris is becoming popluar after it became open source.
More and more users will start using it from now on.
There is no Kannada font for Solaris.
I want help in creating one for Solaris.

Solaris 10, has support for Kannada
Sun Solaris 10 operating System does provide support for Kannada, and Unicode based font should work in Solaris 10, Sun also has done a good job with Input Method also, It uses a common transliteration based Input method for all Indic languages.

But, I am seeing garbled letters in Firefox (Solaris 10 OS)
I tried all the possible combinations.
Especially, "ottakshara" and other "samyktaakshara" is shown garbled.
Anything extra we have to install on Solaris to make it work?
Use pango enabled Firefox
You need to use a Pango enabled version of Firefox (you may need to build one yourself on Solaris).
Open Type fonts that work on
Open Type fonts that work on Linux should work for you. But I'm not very sure about it since I've never tried it on Solaris.
