baraha and nudi together
namaskara,
all experts here...please help me...
i followed all ur instructions about how to get to read and write kannada in xp and did everything that wasn
necessary...
ie...i installed support for thai and east asian langs...and all that..
installed baraha, baraha direct...
installed all the ttfs from various websites like prajavani, kannadaprabha etc..
end result of it all?? it worked like a dream...i could read kannada on all these websites
without any problems on FIREFOX. with kannada being available on FF, i had well and
truly moved bag and baggage to *solely* FF.
then, i happened to see the dasasahitya.org website and that site requires Nudi..i've
had a rough time with Nudi in the past so i was smart enuf to create a system restore
point in xp b4 I proceeded..
then once i installed nudi, it bit me again...though my FF still renders kannada fonts,
i can hardly see them anymore...and they look clumsy...
so how do i fix this?? i can use system restore and revert to my XP without Nudi..if
you want me to do so...
p.s: the dasasahitya site by the way, still doesnt render pages even with Nudi...

Hi,
This website works with .EOT (open ended font file created through Microsoft Weft). When the website is loaded the .EOT file gets dowloaded automatically and temporarily resides in the browser's default temp folder. You need not to have the Nudi font in your PC. The website works perfectly alright with I.E 5.5 and above or Netscape 6. With other browsers it may be an issue to do with the security settings which may hasve not been allowing .EOT to be stored. I am looking into the issue and will let you know the setings once I have found those.

You can bring this to discussion on either Baraha groups or with KGP folks.
This website isn't probably the best place for that.
